RRB Exam 2021

RRB ALP 2021 Exam Pattern including marking scheme, syllabus, previous year question papers and marks distribution. It will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Board of Indian Railways on its official website i.e. indianrailways.gov.in.

The exam is also conducted online where candidates must have basic knowledge of computers to attempt.

RRB ALP will be conducted in all the states of India. The recruitment will be based on the marks and rank obtained by the candidates.

RRB ALP 2021 Exam Pattern in Details

The RRB ALP exam has 2 stages-

  1. CBT 1st stage
  2. CBT 2nd stage

1- RRB ALP CBT

The first stage of the exam is a computer-based exam/test for the loco pilot and technician exam. This exam is the qualifying exam.

  • There are 75 Objective-type questions asked in the CBT exam.
  • 1-hour time limit to complete this paper

2- RRB ALP CBT

After the qualifying stage first, you can attempt the second stage of RRB ALP CBT.

This exam stage divide into two-part– Part A & Part B

Part A: This part will have 100 questions in a 90-minute time limit.

Part B: This part paper will have 75 questions in just a 60-minute time limit.

 

3- Computer-based aptitude test(CBAT) 

This stage is not for everyone. Only those candidates who have applied for the Assistant Loco Pilot Posts.

Qualifying marks for CBT 2 Part B is 35% (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is allowed)

Question papers are available in both Hindi and English languages.

There are five tests, in order to pass the test, candidates need to score certain marks in each test battery.

Marking Scheme of RRB ALP

Correct Answer: 1 mark allotted for each correct answer.

Negative Answer: 0.33 marks were deducted on each wrong answer as plenty.

Unanswered Question: No marks deducted or unattempted question.

RRB ALP 2021 Syllabus

 The syllabus of the RRB ALP(Locopilot) exam is released by the Railway Recruitment Board(RRB) along with the notification and is generally the same every year.

Any change in the RRB ALP syllabus will be informed to the candidates appearing for the next recruitment of the ALP exam.

CBT Stage 2 – Part B

  • This part is qualifying in nature and will have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director-General of Employment and Training (DGET).
  • Candidates having ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualification will have to appear in the questions section of the respective trade.
  • Candidates having Degree, diploma, and HSC (10+2) who are eligible for the posts of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades listed against their Engineering Discipline/ HSC (10+2).

 

RRB ALP 2021 Important Instructions

  • Students have to report at the exam center at least half 30 minutes after the commencement of RRB ALP 2020 exam.
  • Students will be restricted inside the examination center without showing their respective admit cards.
  • No electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators etc. are allowed inside the examination centre.
  • The students are required to follow all the instructions given by the invigilator and should not open the seal of the test book unless instructed.
  • Students will be given 10 minutes to read the test booklet thoroughly and fill in all the required information on the first page of the answer sheet.
  • Students need to put their signature on the answer as well as the attendance sheet in the presence of their class supervisor.
  • If a student fills wrong details, the answer sheet may be rejected by the examiner and he/she will be debarred from RRB ALP 2020 exam.
  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination center before the given time as it may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
  • A student who is found guilty of any unfair means like cheating will be held responsible for their disqualification from RRB ALP 2020 exam.

 

RRB ALP Exam 202- Online Application Process

    1. Visit the official website of Indian Railways – http://www.indianrailways.gov.in.
    2. Click on the ‘RECRUITMENT’ tab at the top of the home page.
    3. A page listing all the RRBs will appear.
    4. Click on the RRB link through which you want to apply.
    5. Look for the online application link CEN 01/2021 and click on it.
    6. Register for the exam by entering your name, date of birth, aadhaar number, mobile number, email id and other details. Double-check all the details before submitting.
    7. On successful registration, login details will be sent to your registered mobile number and email id.
    8. Use the login details to complete the application form.
    9. Enter your educational qualification, gender, religion, category etc. When your form is complete, you will be redirected to the payment page.
    10. Choose from the payment mode – Offline or Online and complete the payment process.
    11. After completion of fee payment, you will be redirected to Part II of the application
    12. process where you will have to fill the details of author (if required) like educational qualification, photo and language for 1st and 2nd CBT.
    13. Complete the form by uploading your required documents giving your consent for
    14. sharing the score with PSUs/Ministries/Departments/Private Organizations, and verifying the declaration.
    15. Submit the application form and take a printout of the filled form for record.
