IES Exam Syllabus

IES Exam Syllabus 2022 has been released by Union Public Services Commission alongside the notification. The syllabus has been similar over the years.

In this article, I will be going to cover the detailed IES Exam Syllabus of General Studies and Engineering Aptitude, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication Subjects.

IES Exam Syllabus and level of difficulty within the examination are going to be supported the engineering graduation curriculum.

Candidates need to indicate their opted discipline within the form. The question paper is going to be supported the engineering discipline opted by the candidate.

 

 

However, the IES Prelims exam will have General Studies and Engineering Aptitude paper which is common for each candidate.

The standard of paper in General Studies and Engineering Aptitude (Preliminary Stage-I Examination) will be such as may be expected of an Engineering/Science Graduate.

The standard of papers in other subjects will approximately be that of an Engineering Degree Examination of an Indian University. There will be no practical examination in any of the subjects.

Note: The General Studies and Engineering Aptitude paper will consist of knowledge of relevant subjects as can be expected from an engineering graduate without specialized study. Questions will be set from all the 10 subjects mentioned above. The marks for each subject can range from 5% to 15% of the total marks in the paper.
